Then He spoke a parable to them that men ought always to pray and not lose heart.
So much has been said of prayer and so much has been written, yet we can never say too much on the subject. For prayer is the life blood of our relationship with God.
If we want our needs met, we need to pray. If we want to know God intimately, we need to pray. If we seek to influence our environment- our homes, our offices, our churches, our states, our country, - then we cannot but pray. It’s the root of our effectiveness as Ambassadors for Christ. Yet, we don’t do nearly enough of it.
Pray. It’s a command. Why? The reasons are obvious. Do it with confidence for Jesus Himself invites us to “Ask…” There in lies our assurance in getting answers for He would not play games with us. He would not command it if He has no intention of honoring our requests, even as we pray according to His will. So go ahead, pray for that unbeliever down the street, it is not God’s will that any should perish so pray for his salvation; pray for your finances, for He desires that your needs be met; pray for your children, bless them in the name of God. Do it with the confidence that He hears and will honor your requests.
